The MyAds course is a Do-It-Yourself course. We provide you the knowledge to create and maintain you own web pages and website. There two stages so that you only need to learn what you need to complete your objectives. Stage 1 Stage 2 By using the D.I.Y. approach you gain knowledge and save money. In fact, we believe that by doing it yourself, you can save thousands of dollars. This is not a typical hypothetical course, but is based on real experience, using real suppliers. What you need to know, to build a real website. Further more, we do not tie you into us like many consultants. Once you have the knowledge, you are in control. Whilst we hope that you may use us for additional services, that is entirely up to you. The course is run on a subscription basis. When you enrol in a course, you are provided with access to the course material for three months. For those of you who are concerned that you might not have the ability or aptitude, we recommend you start with the Stage 1. This will show you if this Internet stuff is simply too hard for you. The knowledge gained in Stage 1 is required for Stage 2. Some of you may be asking what else besides the cost of the course, do I have to pay for, or purchase. All courses have been developed using free or Open Source software. The majority of the Online Connections website, all printed advertising material that we produce, word processing, spreadsheets and graphics is done using Open Source or free software. The same software that you can use to build your website and also use in your business for other purposes. Other costs you may need to consider are the costs associated with having your web pages on the Internet. If you are happy to host your web pages with the same Internet Service Provider that you currently use to connect to the Internet, chances are that you are already paying for everything you need. If you wish to run your website under your own business name (a domain name in Internet terms), then you will learn about these costs in Stage 2. We even show you a way you can use the .biz domain and host under your own business name for under $30 a year. We think that is great value. We are excited about offering the MyAds course. Most professionals make an income by keeping their knowledge close to their chest and charging high fees. Our aim is to make an income by sharing our knowledge to a larger base of clients by using the Internet, and reduce the cost for everyone. This stage provides the skills to transfer files from your computer to the Internet. The course then moves on to creating simple web pages which you can put on your website.
